作曲者是相當著名的 Michael Masser，曾創作出許多暢銷名曲，如” Greatest love of all “等。這首歌原本是為黑人歌手 George Benson 喬治班森而寫，收錄在他 1985 年的專輯。只在歐洲地區發行單曲，名次也不算高。1987 年，一位年僅 16 歲的夏威夷少年參加了當地電台舉辦的歌唱大賽，年輕但不生澀的歌喉得到評審一致好評榮獲第一名，獎品是可以灌錄一張單曲唱片。這位年輕人名叫 Glenn Medeiros 葛倫麥德羅斯，他選擇錄音的曲目就是讓他奪得冠軍的” Nothing’s gonna change my love for you “。
