「Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba」這句從字面上看是解「看哪！獅子來了，父親」，但於 Zulu 語中普遍都會使用「ibhubesi」來作獅子之意，而非「ingonyama」。其實使用「ingonyama」的原因是這個字也可以解作國王，所以這句也可以解作「國王來了，父親」，這樣就能一句把獅子和國王相通。而「Sithi uhm ingonyama」是對上一句話的回應，是 Zulu 語的語法。
