地方副詞(place adverb/表方向副詞/Here/There)
可放句前倒裝,使用的時機:
(1)在文學作品中的修辭方法,為了押韻rhyme scheme或強調主題emphasis to important subject matter.(inversion, also called anastrophe, in literary style and rhetoric):
(2)日常生活中:
倒裝時,代名詞放動詞前面,名詞放動詞後面.
At the end of the garden stood a very tall tree.
花園的盡頭有一棵很高的樹(焦點是樹)。
On the grass sat an enormous frog.
草地上坐著一隻巨大的青蛙。
Down came the rain.下雨了。
They went off. = Off they went! 他們走了
Please go in. = In you go! 你進去吧!
Here’s your coffee.這是你的咖啡。
“There goes the bus.” = “There it goes.”公車走了.來不及坐上去.
“Here comes the bus.” = “Here it comes.”公車來了.來的及坐上去.
“The bus goes there.”(問路)公車有到那裡.
“The bus comes here.”(問路)公車有到這裡.
1. There goes the bus.
= I am running late to catch the bus – as I see it pulling away from my stop without me, I might say “There goes the bus!” = “There goes the bus; now we will have to walk!” = The bus has gone.
2. The bus goes there.
= Someone asks me if the bus goes to the mall, I might say “Yes, the bus goes there.”
3. Here comes the bus.
= This sentence explains or describes the coming of a bus. e.g.”Here comes the bus, but I am not going to get on,” said Peter.
4. Here comes Jane.
= You observe that Jane is approaching.
5. Jane comes here.
= Jane is in the habit of coming to wherever you are when you make the statement.
